用于电镀、制高纯金属铬、染料、合成橡胶及油脂精制等

用作分析试剂和强氧化剂,也用于铬酸盐的制造
【用途四】
主要用于电镀工业,做自行车、缝纫机、手表、仪表、手电筒、日用五金等电镀铬的原料,也用于制高纯金属铬。是制造氧化铬绿和锌铬黄的原料;也是生产低温变换催化剂、高温变换催化剂及高压甲醇合成催化剂的原料。羊毛织物染色时用作媒染剂,印染工业中用作氧化剂。此外,还用于木材防腐。
【用途五】
本品是电镀铬的主要原料。电镀铬生产中,铬酐含量变动幅度较大,在50~500 g/L之间,主要控制适当的温度和电流密度,都能在平滑的镀件上获得光亮的镀层,它的溶液还能用于锌镀层钝化膜,使其防护性能提高。
【用途六】
氧化剂,光谱分析试剂,测定碳及磷,硬化油类及乙烯的纯化,氮肥生产中气体分析,金属全相分析,植保化验。铬盐的制造等。

硫酸法将重铬酸钠溶液(70°Bé)与98%硫酸分别加入带搅拌装置的反应器中,经搅拌混合,用直接火加热熔融进行反应,生成铬酸酐和硫酸氢钠。硫酸按理论用量的102%左右分别加入,反应终点温度应控制在200~205℃物料全部熔融时停止加热和搅拌,静置使物料分层,较轻的硫酸氢钠浮于上层,较重的熔融铬酸酐从反应器的底阀排出,经转筒结片机冷却凝固制片,制得铬酸酐成品。其

熔融的硫酸氢钠中含有少量铬酸酐,降温时可凝固成固体加以回收;硫酸氢钠熔融物直接注入水中(注意安全,防止溅出),溶解成浓度为40~42°Bé的溶液,用于制造碱式硫酸铬。
【方法二】
其生产方法有硫酸法、硝酸法、氟硅酸法、电解法。四种方法中应用较普遍的是硫酸法。介绍如下:
将重铬酸钠溶液(70°Bé)与硫酸(98%)在反应器中混合,加热熔融。至190 ℃固体物全部熔融后停止加热。停止搅拌物料分层。将沉于下层的铬酐从反应器底部放入滚筒结片机内,凝固结片。包装即为成品。
