将胱氨酸溶于稀盐酸，滴加溴，反应液温度升到60℃左右。使反应液在减压下蒸发，将剩余物溶于蒸馏水中，滤去不溶物。滤液浓缩后冷却结晶，过滤，用乙醇洗涤滤饼，干燥，得L-磺基丙氨酸，产率81-90%。
