重水

重水用途

【用途一】
用于NMR，使用核磁共振分析时倘若溶剂是水，而研究的对象是氢，可以使用重水作溶剂。　中子减速剂：某些核子反应堆使用重水来减慢中子的速度，让它们有机会与铀反应。轻水（普通水）亦可以作减速剂，但因为轻水会吸收中子，因此轻水式反应堆必须使用浓缩铀，而不能使用普通铀，否则将不能达到临界质量。重水反应堆不单可以使用普通铀，而且会把铀238转化成为可制作核弹的钚。

液氢精馏法：该方法具有分离系数大，能耗较低的优点，但对低温技术要求高，所用原料要有很高的纯度，操作难度较大。H2，HD，D2的沸点分别为20.39K，22.13K，23.57K。在低D浓度时，实际上为H2-HD二元混合物。因歧化反应2HD=D2+H2不能自动进行，天然液氢精馏时首先得到的是纯HD，HD通过催化剂使歧化反应达到平衡后，再精馏可制得纯D2。D2与O2燃烧即可获得纯D2O。
