Selenium sulfide is a kind of antifungal reagent. It present orange to reddish brown powder, which smell light hydrogen sulfide. It is available as a 1% and 2.5% lotion and shampoo, which is normal as ketoconazole shampoo, selsun blue shampoo. salicylic acid shampoo for tinea versicolor treatment. Selenium sulfide is made from selenious acid and hydrogen sulfide. It is insoluble in water, however soluble in ammonium monosulfide.
