Rubidium Carbonate serves as a critical precursor and functional material in advanced industries:

Optical Crystals & Electro-Optic Materials: Primary source for growing high-performance crystals such as RbTiOPO₄ (RTP) for electro-optic modulation, Q-switches, and high-power lasers; RKTN perovskite NLO crystals; and deep-UV nonlinear optical crystals (e.g., Rb₂B₃O₃F₄OH) for frequency doubling and OPO in lasers, lithography, spectroscopy, and medical applications.

Specialty Glass & Fiber Optics: Used in the production of specialty glass with unique optical/structural properties, including lithium silicate glass ceramics for dental applications and glass for fiber optic components and telecommunications.
