Surface activity
AOS, like other anionic surfactants (such AS LAS, As, AES, etc.), also has excellent surface activity. Solubility

Under the same conditions, the AOS of C12, C14, C16 and C18 were determined respectively. With the increase of carbon chains, the solubility decreased. However, it has good solubility within a relatively wide range of carbon numbers (C12-C18). AOS with a carbon number distribution of C14 and C16 has good solubility and can be used in liquid detergents.
