Abstract The front cover artwork is provided by Prof. Zhanhu Guo from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (USA) and Profs. Ning Wang and Qiang Luo from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. The image shows that inorganic hematite can synergistically work with organic fullerene as an electron-extracting material for efficient and stable heterojunction perovskite solar cells. Read the full text of the Communication at 10.1002/celc.201701054. “Simultaneously retarding charge recombination and enhancing the stability of a planar perovskite solar cell is demonstrated, employing phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester and α-Fe2O3 as synergistic electron transport layers. The introduction of the fullerene not only improves the crystallinity of the CH3NH3PbI3 perovskite, but it also facilitates electron extraction…” Find out more about the story behind the front cover research at 10.1002/celc.201701054.
