In a previous paper'the synthesis of 1, 1, 1, 2, 2-pentduoro-2-phenylethane was suggested. This has now been accomplished and a number of fluorine derivatives of both acetophenone and ethylbenzene synthesized. In this work a variety of methods of fluorination were used.
