We describe a new light-promoted rearrangement of (MeSn) S leading to cyclic (MeSnS) and MeSn Which has an important implication for the methylation of heavy metals in the environment and we also note some reactions of the natural product iodomethane leading to tetramethyl-tin and-lead.
