Abstract: Alkylation of Na [CpCo (p-CO)],(Cp= ss-cyclopentadienyl) with a, d-dibromo-o- xylene gives bis (pcarbony1)-(po-xylylene) bis [(q5-cyclopentadienyl) cobalt](Co-Co)(l), the first dimetallacyclohexene.
