Reaction of (q5-C5H5) Co [C (R) C (COzCH3) CH (COZCH3) CH (COzCH3)][P (C6H5),](R= CsH5, 2a; R= COZCH3, 2b) with isocyanides, CO, and diphenylacetylene (DPA) afforded l- amino-1, 3-cyclopentadienes, cyclopent-2-enones, and (q5-C5H5) Co (q4-1, 3- cyclohexadiene) complexes, respectively.
