摘要

5-Bromo-2, 4-dimethoxybenzoic Acid,(CH30) 2CsHzBrCOOH.-The acid obtained in quantitative yield by the oxidation of 5-bromo-2, 4-dimethoxybenzoylacrylic acid with potassium permanganate can be purified by recrystallization from acetone or xylene. It melts at 193" and is sparingly soluble in boiling water, acetone, xylene, chloroform and methyl alcohol.
