Abstract: The second-order reaction rates were measured for the MCPBA epoxidation in CHQ, for a series of cyclic olefins including bridgehead olefins and tram-cycloalkenes. As expected, strained bridgehead alkenes and trans-cycloalkenes showed faster reaction rates than nonstrained cis-cycloalkenes.
