Three 3-fold symmetric rigid backbone phenylacetylene nitrile molecules have been prepared to which one to six hydroxy side chains have been attached. These molecules were cocrystallized with silver (I) trifluoromethanesulfonate (triflate) to form microcrystalline porous solids.
