Abstract

Abstract: Trifluoromethanesulfonic acid or trifluoromethanesulfonimide efficiently catalyzes the hydration of alkynes without a metal catalyst to afford a wide variety of carbonyl compounds in good to excellent yields with perfect regioselectivities.
