Abstract

Conclusions.-o-Aminophenol and its derivatives are unstable in the presence of a strong oxidizing agent such as fuming nitric acid, o-aminophenol itself going to pieces. p- Aminophenol is capable of giving a good yield of nitro-aminophenolsulfonic acid under the conditions holding in our work.
