Abstract

Six trialkyl-, triaryl-, or alkylarylphosphines have been prepared by condensing organolithium compounds with phosphorus trichloride or phenylphosphonous chloride. A number of methods have been investigated for the conversion of these phosphines into the corresponding oxides, sulfidea, and selenides.
