Abstract

Thiazolidine is a biologically important heterocyclic ring having S and N in the 1 and 3 positions, and with a chiral carbon atom (I). Thiazolidine derivatives are used as starting materials in building optically active key intermediates in the synthesis of natural products [Nagao et al., 1985].
