Abstract

A highly regio-and stereoselective asymmetric synthesis of various C5′-alkyl side chains of rhamnosyl-and amicetosyl-digitoxigenin analogues has been established via palladium- catalyzed glycosylation with postglycosylated dihydroxylation or diimide reduction.
