A potent, selective, allosteric and orally acitve positive modulator of small-conductance calcium-activated K+ channel KCa2.2 and KCa2.3 with EC50 of 1.6 and 0.14 uM, respectively; shows no activating effect on hSK1 or hIK channels (EC50>10 uM), and exerts less off-target effects; alleviates behavioral and neuropathological phenotypes of aging spinocerebellar ataxia type 2 (SCA2) transgenic mice.
