  • (±)-Licarin A ((±)-trans-Dehydrodiisoeugenol) is a dihydrobenzofuran neolignan, the resultant of an oxidative coupling reaction of isoeugenol and horseradish peroxidase (HRP) enzyme. (±)-Licarin A displays 58.7% parasite lysis and has an IC50 value of 100.8 µM for trypanocidal activity against trypomastigote forms of T. cruzi. And (±)-Licarin A shows 100% parasites mortality at 200 µM[1].
