Use of Leukotriene D4Leukotriene D4 is one of the constituents of slow-reacting substance of anaphylaxis (SRS-A) produced by the metabolism of LTC4 by γ-glutamyl transpeptidase. Leukotriene D4 is the first cysteinyl-leukotriene metabolite of LTC4. Leukotriene D4-induced bronchoconstriction and enhanced vascular permeability contribute to the pathogenesis of asthma and acute hypersensitivity. |

Unbiased classification of sensory neuron types by large-scale single-cell RNA sequencing.
Nat. Neurosci. 18(1) , 145-53, (2015) The primary sensory system requires the integrated function of multiple cell types, although its full complexity remains unclear. We used comprehensive transcriptome analysis of 622 single mouse neuro... |

Cutting edge: Leukotriene C4 activates mouse platelets in plasma exclusively through the type 2 cysteinyl leukotriene receptor.
J. Immunol. 191(12) , 5807-10, (2013) Leukotriene C4 (LTC4) and its extracellular metabolites, LTD4 and LTE4, mediate airway inflammation. They signal through three specific receptors (type 1 cys-LT receptor [CysLT1R], CysLT2R, and GPR99)... |

A contraction assay system using primary cultured mouse bronchial smooth muscle cells.
Int. Arch. Allergy Immunol. 161 Suppl 2 , 93-7, (2013) Contraction of bronchial smooth muscle is the main mechanism of asthmatic responses. Inflammatory cells such as eosinophils and mast cells produce chemical mediators that induce smooth muscle contract... |
