CRF1 receptor[1]. |
In Vitro | Corticotropin-releasing factor (ovine), a preferential CRF1 receptor agonist, shows almost 200-fold greater affinity for the CRF1 than CRF2 receptor[1]. |
In Vivo | Corticotropin-releasing factor (ovine) (Ovine CRF: 0.1-2.5 nM) stimulates corticotropin release by pituitaries of Wistar rats and this effect is augmented two- to three fold in the presence of arginine vasopressin (0.09-0.9 mIU/ml) or oxytocin (0.9-90 mIU/ml) [2]. oCRF (10 μg) suppresses 6-h intake of cafeteria diet-fed rats without regard to macronutrient composition. Rather, oCRF most potently suppresses intake of preferred food items[1]. |
