In Vitro Succinic acid tromethamine is derived from the fermentation of agricultural carbohydrates[2].
In Vivo Succinic acid tromethamine (3, 6 mg/kg; p.o.) increases the percentage of entries into open arms and of time spent on open arms in male mice[3]. Succinic acid tromethamine (3, 6, 12 mg/kg; i.p.) significant increases in food intake during 5 min, and 40 min after drug administration rectal temperature was measured, succinic acid at a dose of 1.5 mg/kg, inhibited stress-induced hyperthermia[3].
