Abstract

Abstract Nitrations of some sensitive thiazole derivatives with trifluoromethanesulfonic acid- trifluoro-methanesulfonic anhydride.-potassium nitrate in 1, 2-dichloroethane gave significantly higher yields of the nitro compounds in comparison with nitrations in sulfuric acid-nitric acid mixtures.
