Abstract

Benzenesulfonyl isothiocyanate (I) reacted with ethanol and 2-propanol to give, respectively, ethylbenzenesulfonylthiourethan (111) and isopropylbenzenesulfonylthiourethan (IV). The reaction of I with 2-methyl-2-propanol gave benzenesulfonamide. 2-Chloroethanol and I afforded an oil from which two cyclic compounds, COHONO& (V) and CpHsNOIS (VI), were obtained. 2-Chloroaniline and I gave N-(2-chlorophenyl)-Pi'-(benzenesulfony1) thiourea ( ...
