Abstract
Abstract Perfluoroalkanesulfonic anhydrides (RF SO 2) 2 O when mixed with acids decompose into perfluoroalkanesulfonic esters RF SO 2 OR F, thereby providing a new facile synthesis of these esters from perfluoroalkanesulfonic acids and phosphorus pentoxide.
