Abstract Cyclic voltammetry and controlled-potential electrolysis have been employed to examine the electrochemical reduction of methyl 2-bromomethylbenzoate at carbon cathodes in dimethylformamide (DMF) containing tetramethylammonium tetrafluoroborate (TMABF 4).
