Abstract

This investigation was undertaken in the hope of obtaining 1', 9-dimethylene-1, 2- benzanthracene by application of the general o-halide scheme of synthesis, l starting with the condensation of o-chlorophenylmagnesium bromide with perinaphthanone-7.
