Abstract
Summary 1. Neonicotine (P-pyridyl-a-piperidine) was separated from the products obtained in the author's sodium-pyridine-oxygen reaction. Nicotimine, isolated by Pictet and Rotschky from the nicotine alkaloids and tentatively identified by t. hem as the same product, is probably different. 2. The reduction of y, y-, P, y-, a, a-and P, P-dipyridyls by tin and hydrochloric acid results in varying yields of the corresponding pyridylpiperidines. The ...
