Abstract

1-Benzenesulfonylpyrrole has been prepared by the reaction of pyrrolylpotassium and benzenesulfonyl chloride Tetrahedron Letters (1968), p. 1721 We have found that this compound can more conveniently be prepared by the phase-transfer reaction (V. 0.
