Abstract

Five new bisbenzylisoquinoline alkaloids, cycleapeltine (1 1), cycleadrine (5), cycleacurine (19), cycleanorine (8), and cycleahornine chloride (14), have been isolated from Cyclea peltata Diels and their structures determined. Three related artifacts have also been isolated and the structures 16, 26, and 31 advanced on the basis of spectroscopic and chemical evidence.
