Abstract

Some novel uracil derived azo compounds were synthesized by diazotization of substituted aromatic amines, amidine-and guanidine-like amines such as 2-aminopyridine and 2- aminopyrimidine, ortho-hydroxy aniline and ortho-hydroxy naphthyl amines and coupling reaction with 6-amino-1, 3-dimethyluracil.
