Abstract
Abstract An efficient one-pot multicomponent synthesis of 2, 4-diamino-5- pyrimidinecarbonitrile derivatives has been achieved in excellent yields by the condensation of aromatic aldehydes, malononitrile, and guanidine using ionic liquid under controlled microwave irradiation (100 W) at 60 C.
