Abstract

Amamistatin A, a linear lipopeptide and a growth inhibitor of human tumor cell lines from an actinomycete, was efficiently synthesized by a convergent approach. The asymmetric synthesis of β-hydroxy acid fragment was achieved by using chiral oxazaborolidinone mediated aldol reaction.
