Abstract

2752 CLIFF S. HAMILTON VOl. 45 and the mixture boiled under a reflux condenser for 4 to 5 hours. The solution deposited almost colorless crystals on cooling. Coned. hydrochloric acid was added to the cold mixture to hold any unchanged p-arsanilic acid in solution and the product was filtered off and washed carefully with water.
