Abstract: The thermal decomposition of bis (pyrrolidy1-I) disulfide (8) was studied over the temperature range 45-68'by a radical scavenging technique utilizing Banfield's radical. The activation parameters obtained (AHt= 30.8 kcal/mol and AS'= 6.5 eu) indicated a relatively weak SS bond in bis (dialky1amino) disulfides, R2NS-SNR2, and appreciable stability for thionitroxide radicals, R2NS. e.
