Abstract
Abstract Hydrolysis of triarylbismuth bis (arenesulfonates) in acetone gives bismuth derivatives of the general formula [Ar 3 Bi (OSO 2 Ar')] 2 O (Ar= Ph, p-Tol; Ar'= Ph, C 6 H 4 Me-4, C 6 H 3 Me 2-2, 4, C 6 H 3 Me 2-3, 4). The structure of μ-oxobis [(3, 4- dimethylbenzenesulfonato) triphenylbismuth] was established by means of X-ray diffraction.
