Abstract: Two new types of crystalline substances having six-coordinate phosphorus have been isolated. One of the substances has the charge distribution of a zwitterion and is derived from the reaction of a spiropentaoxyphosphorane with pyridine. The second substance has the charge distribution of an ion pair and is derived from the reaction of the spiropentaoxyphosphorane with phenol and triethylamine. This P (6) adduct differs from ...
