苯甲醛用途
重要的化工原料,用于制月桂醛、月桂酸、苯乙醛和苯甲酸苄酯等,也用作香料
【用途二】
用作测定臭氧、酚、生物碱和位于羧基旁的亚甲基试剂
【用途三】
可作为特殊的头香香料,微量用于花香配方,如紫丁香、白兰、茉莉、紫罗兰、金合欢、葵花、甜豆花、梅花、橙花等中。香皂中亦可用之。还可作为食用香料用于杏仁、浆果、奶油、樱桃、椰子、杏子、桃子、大胡桃、大李子、香荚兰豆、辛香等香精中。酒用香精如朗姆、白兰地等型中也用之。
【用途四】
苯甲醛是除草剂野燕枯、植物生长调节剂抗倒胺的中间体。
【用途五】
GB 2760--1996规定为暂时允许使用的食用香料。主要用于配制杏仁、樱桃、桃子、果仁等型香精,用量可达40%。作为糖水樱桃罐头的赋香剂,加入量每kg糖水3ml。
【用途六】
医药、染料、香料的中间体。用于生产间氧基苯甲醛、月桂酸、月桂醛、品绿、苯甲酸苄酯、苄叉苯胺、苄叉丙酮等。用以调合皂用香精、食用香精等。
【用途七】
有机合成, 溶剂, 测定臭氧及位于羰基旁边的亚甲基,检定酚和生物碱,香料制备。

7.制法:
于装有回流冷凝器(顶部装氯化钙干燥管)、通气导管的已经称重的反应瓶中,加入干燥的甲苯(2)46g(0.5mol),加热至沸。光照下慢慢通入干燥的氯气,直至质量增加39g,而且沸腾温度达到187℃时为止,得到粗品a,a-二氯甲苯(3)。将化合物(3)转移至1.5L反应瓶中,加入500mL水及碳酸钙150g,回流反应4h,同时通入二氧化碳气体以防止生成的苯甲醛氧化。反应结束后,进行水蒸汽蒸馏,直至无油状物馏出①。将馏出液用乙醚提取三次,合并乙醚层。蒸出乙醚后得粗品苯甲醛。向粗品苯甲醛中慢慢分批加入饱和亚硫酸氢钠溶液,每一次加入后充分摇动。当有结晶性沉淀析出并无苯甲醛的气味时,抽滤。滤饼用乙醚洗涤。将结晶加入过量的碳酸钠溶液中,充分摇动,使苯甲醛游离出来。乙醚提取三次。合并乙醚层,依次用碳酸钠溶液、水洗涤,氯化钙干燥。蒸出乙醚后进行分馏,收集178~180℃的馏分,得苯甲醛(1)36g,收率70%(以甲苯计)。注:①反应液中含有苯甲酸。将热溶液过滤后用盐酸酸化,冷却,可得到片状苯甲酸,mp121℃。
