将 100 kg 油酸投入反应釜中，加热熔化，在搅拌下升温，当物料达到 180 ℃ 左右，开始通氨气。氨气从反应釜底部通过分布器进入料液。快速搅拌加强气相与液相接触。副产物水和末瓜的氨气通过冷凝器进入回收装置。当氨通入量为 200 kg 时，检测排出的气相中有无水，如果气体中无水，即确定反应到终点。停止通氮。趁热出料，冷却成型。用乙醇作溶剂进行重结晶得精品。
