主要用于制备醇酸树脂、橡胶促进剂和防老剂、除草剂、杀虫剂、防霉剂、丙酸、丙醇、丙胺等
【用途二】
GB 2760一1996规定为允许使用的香料。主要用以配制苹果、樱桃、巧克力和洋葱等型香精。
【用途三】
正丙醛是杀虫剂吡虫啉、啶虫脒、戊烯氰氯菊酯的中间体,也是医药眠尔通、乙胺嘧啶的中间体。
【用途四】
丙醛是精细化学品的重要原料,主要用于生产正丙醇、丙酸、三羟甲基乙烷、丙醛肟等中间体,进一步生产醇酸树脂、农药除草剂和杀虫剂、药物眠尔痛和乙噻嗪,还广泛应用于涂料、塑料、食品、轻纺、饲料、橡胶助剂方面的精细化学品生产。还可作乙烯聚合的链终止剂。

丙醛制备
丙醛虽然有多种制备方法,但直至五十年代初才开始工业生产,1975年美国联合碳化物公司建成以铑-膦为催化剂;由乙烯低压经羰基合成制丙醛的第一个年产4.5万t的大型装置后,低压羰基合成法逐渐成为丙醛生产的主要方法和发展方向。1981年美国;日本和西欧丙醛总生产能力23万t中,95%以上是采用低压羰基合成法生产的。
1.羰基合成法 由乙烯与一氧化碳;氢气经一步反应而成。最初以羰基钴为催化剂,在高压(14.7-19.6MPa)下进行。近年发展了以铑膦络合物为催化剂的合成法,反应温度100℃,压力1.27-1.47MPa。该法无异构体产生,分离简便。
2.环氧丙烷异构化法 1,2-环氧丙烷在铬钒催化剂存在下经气相异构化而得。此外,尚有丙醇氧化法及丙烯醛加氢法等。丙烯以氯化钯为催化剂直接氧化生产丙酮时的0.5-1.5%的副产品丙醛,当提高催化剂中氯化钯含量的反应温度时,丙醛副产的比例可增大到50%。
3.制法:
于装有分馏装置(接受瓶用冰水浴冷却)、滴液漏斗(底部伸入瓶底)的反应瓶中,加入丙醇(2)34g(0.567mol)和几粒沸石,加热至沸。滴加由重铬酸钾56g(0.188mol)、300mL水和40mL浓硫酸配成的溶液,约20min加完。保持反应体系沸腾,分馏柱顶温度不超过75℃,当氧化剂全部加完后,继续反应15min,收集80℃以下的馏分。从镏出液中分出水,无水硫酸钠干燥,分馏,收集47~50℃的馏分,得丙醛(1)12g,收率36%。
