三氧化二铁制备

制法制备方法有湿法和干法。湿法制品结晶细小、颗粒柔软、较易研磨,适宜作颜料。干法制品结晶大、颗粒坚硬,适宜作磁性材料、抛光研磨材料。

1.湿法将一定量的5%硫酸亚铁溶液迅速与过量烧碱溶液反应(要求碱过量0.04~0.08g/mL),在常温下通入空气使之全部变成红棕色的氢氧化铁胶体溶液,作为沉积氧化铁的晶核。以上述晶核为载体,以硫酸亚铁为介质,通入空气,在75~85 ℃,在金属铁存在的条件下,硫酸亚铁与空气中氧作用,生成三氧化二铁(即铁红)沉积在晶核上,溶液中的硫酸根又与金属铁作用,重新生成硫酸亚铁,硫酸亚铁再被空气氧化成铁红继续沉积,如此循环到整个过程结束,生成氧化铁红。 2.干法硝酸与铁片反应生成硝酸亚铁,经冷却结晶,脱水干燥,经研磨后在600~700℃煅烧8~10 h,再经水洗、干燥、粉碎制得氧化铁红产品。也可以氧化铁黄为原料,经600~700℃煅烧制得氧化铁红。 3.从高纯硫酸亚铁水溶液出发,合成高纯α-FeO(OH)[12],再在600℃温度下加热大约3h脱水则得α-Fe 2O 3。用这个方法得到的产品,每个粒子都具有次级结构的所谓膨体粒子。虽然乍看起来和母体结晶α-FeO(OH)具有同样大小的针状外形,但实际上是由极细小的一次粒子和空隙组成。加热分解温度越高,一次粒子的尺寸越大。而且也促进针状二次粒子间的烧结。 4.将氢氧化铁沉淀和蒸馏水一起装入聚四氟乙烯烧杯之后,在耐压管或热压锅中加热到150℃,就可得到由数微米尺寸的六角片状、单晶粒子组成的α-Fe 2O 3。这时,若热压锅的锅壁材质(不锈钢)不好,容易和水反应放出氢气。

由于发生的氢气使α-Fe2O3还原析出Fe3O4,不能制得纯α-Fe2O3

4.采用硝酸亚铁氧化法。将稀硝酸和铁片反应生成硝酸亚铁,经空气氧化、压滤、漂洗、干燥、高温煅烧、粉碎而得。

5.将100kg工业硫酸亚铁用纯水加热溶解为相对密度为1.15~1.20的溶液,过滤后滤液应澄明清亮。将滤液加热沸腾,在搅拌下加入其体积6倍的,相对密度为1.08的工业草酸溶液 ( 事先已过滤) :

加完草酸后静8h,使其反应完全并充分沉淀。然后分出上层酸液,沉淀用纯水反复倾洗至洗涤无SO42-子存在,甩干,在100~110℃下干燥,过筛 (40~60目) ,在高温炉中于400~500℃灼烧2h,趁热充分搅拌,冷却后,再次过筛,即得成品。
