以对氯苄基氯为原料，转化为格氏试剂后，和氯代环氧丙烷反应，得1-氯-4-对氯苯基丁醇-2-引入咪唑基，再把羟基转化为氯后，引入2，6-二氯苯硫酚，得布康唑。用硝酸酸化可得布康唑硝酸盐。
