氟苯、无水三氯化铝和二氯甲烷混合，搅拌下加入琥珀酸酐。加毕回流，得4-(4-氟苯基)-4-氧代丁酸，收率62.2%。将其和咪唑及二甲亚砜混合后，滴加到甲醇钠中。105℃反应得4-[4-(1H-咪唑-1-基)苯基1-4-氧代丁酸，收率61.5%。然后和水合肼在乙醇中反应，得伊马唑旦，收率92%，熔点212--213℃。
