2-乙基苯酚制备

（1）从煤焦油中提取。（2）以苯酚和乙烯为原料，以苯酚铝为催化剂，在280～320℃及4.0～5.5兆帕下反应制得。（3）以苯酚和乙醇为原料，在氧化铝和氧化钍的作用下，加热至350℃以上脱水制得。（4）以苯酚和2-氯乙醇为原料，在金属钠的作用下制得。
备注：在空气中颜色变深。当将液体冷却至-30℃时，形成一种熔点为-28℃的结晶。
