Conclusions A delicate balance of factors is necessary to observe the rearrangement of N- aminoazoles into &amino derivatives. These conditions are (i) the absence of substituents at position 3 of pyrazoles and indazoles,(ii) the absence of other nitrogen atoms in the ring,(iii) that alkyl groups yield cleaner results than aralkyl groups, since for the latter a mixture of rearrangement and transalkylation reactions
