Vizantin, 6, 6′-bis-O-(3-nonyldodecanoyl)-α, α′-trehalose, was developed as a safe immunostimulator on the basis of a structure–activity relationship (SAR) study with trehalose 6, 6′-dicorynomycolate (TDCM).
