用铁桶包装。本品易燃,应远离火源,贮存于阴凉、干燥、通风处。发生2,4-二氯(苯)酚火灾时,用水、黄沙、泡沫二氧化碳灭火。

| 稳定性 |
1.白色针状结晶。能随水蒸气挥发。溶于乙醇、乙醚、苯和四氯化碳,微溶于水。对组织有强烈刺激性。
2.易挥发,腐蚀性强,能灼烧皮肤,刺激眼睛及皮肤。中毒严重者,可产生贫血及各种神经系统症状。对皮肤过敏者,可引起皮炎而难治愈。车间应通风良好,设备应密闭。操作时应戴口罩、眼镜和胶皮手套。如不慎溅及皮肤,应立即用酒精擦洗或用稀碱水冲洗。若已入口,应立即用温水和氧化镁(30g/L)洗胃。飞溅衣服上,立即更换衣服并洗澡,以防渗入皮肤。

【方法一】
2,4-二氯苯酚的制备主要有两条路线。
苯酚催化氯化法
由苯酚在铁催化下与氯气作用制得。
将熔融的苯酚抽入氯化罐和吸收罐,加热到50~60℃,通入氯气,氯气先进入氯化罐,再串联进入吸收罐,尾气通入石墨薄膜吸收塔,用水吸收尾气中的氯化氢。反应罐的夹套及盘管通冷却水移出反应热。当氯化罐物料的相对密度达到1.402~1.405(40℃)时为氯化终点,停止通氯气,从氯化罐放出2,4-二氯苯酚。下一批氯化时,原吸收罐作为氯化罐,先通入新鲜氯气,而原氯化罐抽入原料苯酚作为吸收罐使用。
此法为国内企业所采用,生产工艺简单,但反应时间较长,且副产物2,6-二氯苯酚、2,4,6-三氯苯酚沸点相近,分离困难。
邻氯苯酚选择氯化法
用三氯化铝和二苯硫醚作催化剂,用硫酰氯作氯化剂。
此法可利用生产对氯苯酚的副产邻氯苯酚为原料,且反应条件温和,设备要求不高,环境污染少,产品纯度高,但所用催化剂和氯化剂的价格较高。
【方法二】
苯酚在铁催化下通氯气氯化而得。
