工艺过程按下列步骤进行：（1）α-氯代乙酰乙酰苯胺的合成（氯化）将乙酰乙酰苯胺和甲苯加入反应器，搅拌下在20℃左右滴加氯化硫酰，控制反应温度在25-30℃，半小时滴加完毕，继续保温反应2.5h，即α-氯代乙酰乙酰苯胺的甲苯悬浮液。（2）拌种灵合成（缩合）：将第一步得到的甲苯悬浮液，加入硫脲和水，升温至回流，反应半小时。反应毕，静置分层，上层为甲苯层，可继续循环套用，下层为拌种灵盐酸盐水溶液。分出水层，并加水稀释，搅拌下加氨水中和至pH8过滤生成的沉淀用水洗至近中性，烘干得白色粉末状产品，含量约96%。对乙酰乙酰苯胺的收率约8%。原料消耗定额：乙酰乙酰苯胺（>98）880kg/t、氯化硫酰（100%）700kg/t、硫脲（>95%）410kg/t、氨水（25%）520kg/t。
